I will attend the University of Iowa Computing Conference on Saturday. The conference will include a talk about how to launch a business by two alumni who successfully created a company. It will also include a job fair.
I also plan to attend the meeting of the Cedar Rapids .NET Users Group on Monday evening at Geonetric in Cedar Rapids. The speaker will be Tim Barcz. Tim employed Luke Korth '12 in a very successful internship a few years ago. Tim acquired a very favorable impression of Cornell College during that collaboration. The topic will be "The Business of Software." Although the organization serves programmers, this talk will present information that will be useful to anyone who is planning a career in business.
I would be pleased to take students with me to either or both of these events.
