Did you notice in The Imitation Game that Joan Clarke (Keira Knightly) incorrectly pronounces Leonard Euler's name
as U-ler while in Hidden Figures Katherine (Goble) Johnson (Taraji P. Hensen) correctly pronounces the name as Oil-er.
Is this a blunder or does it just reflect British pronunciation practice? Amazing that Euler's contribution include number theory (the former) and differential equations (the latter).
