In the video "When the Flue Virus Attacks" the guy talks about how the virus gets into the human cell and uses it as a "factory" to produce more of the viruses proteins. I was wondering what component of the human cell allows it to be made into a "factory"? Is it the DNA, is it being used in some way that it starts reproducing the virus?

an infected cell begins making more viral proteins than the cell's normal proteins.  The balance between cell's normal activity and viral activity tips in favor of the virus.
