If our family member did get COVID-19 and was isolated in our house, how would we protect ourselves while taking care of that member?

Since the study on how long SARS-CoV-19 can stay on a surface/air was done in a lab, is it possible that it can last longer in a natural setting?

The only way you could protect yourself is with PPE which you do not have.

Actually, the virus is probably infectious for a shorter period of time in a natural environment.
