When thinking about preexisting conditions that cause someone to be more susceptible to COVID-19's most sever symptoms, why does obesity make the list?  Is is because there are other underlying health factors associated with it or does weight really matter with a virus like COVID-19?  The 50 year-old with hypertension example makes sense for why he is more susceptible but simply being overweight seems like an odd reason, without there being other factors associated with excessive weight.  I guess what I am trying to ask is: why does obesity make you more susceptible and why is it obesity so deadly with COVID-19?
