I have read some article about HIV, and I have a question about it. HIV attacks the immune system of human, and make human loss the immunity. Does it means the immune system of a person who have AIDS won't respond to viral infection, (like COVID-19). But in fact, people have syndromes when they are infected by some virus while having AIDS. I am confused about this.

And I have a question about COVID-19. In some China social meadia, some reports and news are expecting that COVID-19 will be just like seasonal influenza, always be with us and  it won't stop before we have vaccine. And it is hard to make vaccine for RNA virus. I am confused about these, too. I mean I put a question mark on the whole thing, how do you think of it?

Regarding your first question:  People with HIV have a depressed immune system and have lost the ability to use their immune system to fight off an infection.  So, they are susceptible to many infections that someone with an operating immune system is not.

Remember that influenza is also an RNA virus.  But even with a vaccine, influenza virus mutates every year lessening the utility of the vaccine.  The same could happen here.
