Why has it been so difficult to figure out why children are being infected at lower rates? How does this compare to children being infected with other things like influenza etc? Did we have similar issues in figuring out how children were effected?
this is all so new that studies have not been able to pin down why children are less vulnerable. The question may not be that they are not infected, but why they do not exhibit signs of the infection. Children are probably being infected but, for some undetermined reason, are not progressing to the disease.
