Philip Greenspun is an american computer scientist. His first success came from a website he created named “photo.net”. The purpose of this site was to help photographers help each other with their skills and improve the quality of the photos they take. This website eventually turned into a business with the help of his friends which would eventually sell for six million dollars. Later, he got into database-backed websites. These became the dominant approach to engineering websites because of the ease and efficiency this system had.
