So we talked about the TGN1412 drug study earlier this week and how they should have taken a T Cell and put in a dish with the drug. Did they consider doing that, or did they just feel confident enough that because there was no effect on the animals, there won't be an effect on humans?

So you mentioned about doing a two-week class for the incoming freshman about COVID-19. I just wanted to say that I really like that idea! I think one topic the freshman would like to talk about how this pandemic is affecting mental health. Also, I think it is really important they learn about misinformation and where they can find reliable sources.

4/30:  Unfortunately, you are correct.  They thought they had done thorough testing prior to the first in human trial

5/1:  Agree, but I am worried about the numbers of students.  We may have to limit the class size to first 20 who sign up.
