Many people in my area don't belive this virus is an issue as we only have two cases in the county. I don't believe that many would get the vaccine even if it was proven effective and was free. Earlier in the class, we talked about herd immunity. How would that play out in an area like mine? Would we still have cases because not everyone got the vaccine? And would people who got the vaccine still get sick?
You have no idea how many people have been infected in your county. Remember, nonsymptomatic carriers are now the biggest spreaders. If you live in a county without herd immunity, then you have a real problem. If the vaccine is effective, which is what companies are working toward, then the vaccine might protect people.
